CRY from A COFFIN

What did I mean to you?

When I was alive and full of strength

When I could smell the roses and the freshness of spring

What did I mean to you?

When I was lonely and needed somebody

When my heart cried for love and no one cared

When I felt so weak and could not stand

What did I mean to you?

Now that I am in the depth of a coffin

You’re crying like I was the world to you

A little bit of love could alleviate my pain

But I did not mean a thing to you?

What did I mean to you

All you cared about was your crazy adventures

Your friends, your dates and your programs

I was absent from your to do list

What did I mean to you

Let everyone think that I was special

Prepare your speech, rehearse your cry

But I did not mean a thing to you

What did I mean to you

Tell everyone who comes to mourn with you

The precious moments, the wonderful life we had

Deep in your heart, I did not mean a thing to you

What did I mean to you

I spent my life trying to please you

I traded my happiness for your sorrows

But I did not mean a thing to you

What did I mean to you

Your watery eyes won’t bring me back

My life has ended, there is no turning back

What has been has been

What did I mean to you?

Enjoy your life with whoever brings you joy

Until you get to the end of your way

For I did not mean a thing to you

Why all these shoutings and cryings?

Why all this non sense?

You cannot stand on your own, you have to be carried

When I was alive how often did you say I love you?

What did I mean to you?

Weep on yourself and on your sins

Stop disturbing my peace

Because I did not mean a thing to you.
