Ushers - to collect offering on Friday, 8/11 only
Announcers - to give announcements on Friday, 8/11 only
Plaque/Gift Presenters - to present plaque/gift to speaker and spouse on Sunday, 8/13 only
Block Party 8/12
Planning - Assist the planning committee, ensure that the subcommittees meet their requirements and deadlines, devise evaluation procedures (after event)
Organizing - Recruiting volunteers, maintaining volunteer list, ensure volunteers understand tasks before, during and after events
Welcome Volunteer - Staffing the Welcome Table during the Block Party, provide a welcoming atmosphere to all guests, answer questions guests may have about the event or our church, direct guests to the appropriate areas, distribute souvenirs to guests
Evangelism Volunteer - Please note: EBNJ strongly believes in providing preparation to all volunteers before they are sent out to evangelize in the community. For this reason, any individuals signing up through this form will be limited to observing only (the EBNJ Evangelism Ministry will be evangelizing). It is anticipated that evangelism training will be provided to interested church members in the near future. Thank you.
Games Volunteer - In conjunction with other Games volunteers, set up for games, facilitate group games (Potato Sack Race, Tug of War, Relay Races, Musical Chairs, etc…), replenish balloons on balloon dart board, ensure table game areas (dominoes, cards, building blocks, etc…) are set up
Crafts Volunteer - Staffing the Crafts table during the Block Party, set up area for canvas painting, lead the canvas painting session or serve as an assistant
Design Volunteer - Use your creative skills to design artwork/posters with an evangelistic message
Setup & Decoration Volunteer - Arrive early to set up tables and chairs outside, place tablecloths on tables, fill and arrange balloons in different areas, position banners and signs in designated areas
Music Volunteer - Create a song playlist
Cleaning Volunteer - Clean tables and chairs in advance of Block Party, clean bathrooms as needed, ensure outside area remains debris-free during Block Party, assist with cleaning area after Block Party ends
Grill Masters & Assistants Volunteer - Cook burgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken on grill (must have grilling experience), assistants will help grill master as needed (no experience needed)
Kitchen Staff Volunteer - Assist with tasks in the kitchen, preparing and cutting fruit, bringing food and drink items outside to the serving area
Food Serving Volunteer - Staffing the Food table during the Block Party, serving guests in a pleasant and courteous manner
Host(s) - Serve as one of the hosts for the Block Party, give a welcome, explain purpose of the event, share brief history of our church (info will be provided to you in advance), introduce the worship team, speakers and performers, thank all attendees at conclusion of the event
